World Down Syndrome Day 2009
"On March 21st, 2009, World Down Syndrome Day will mark the 50th anniversary of the publication of Professor Jerome Lejeune's discovery of the extra copy of chromosome 21 which causes Down Syndrome. Now known as trisomy-21 because of the third copy of the 21st chromosome, Down Syndrome was first described by the English doctor, John Langdon Down, in 1866 but until Professor Lejeune's publication in 1959, the ultimate cause of Down Syndrome was unknown. "
Today is World Down Syndrome Day. Lets all celebrate our loved ones extra chromosone. My Eian has Down syndrome, juast as many of my readers kids do. I love every single inch of E including his DS. I would not change a single thing about him. Even as I type he's sitting in my lap all snotted up. Poor guy. He's changed my life in ways I never knew could change. If I could I'd have a hundred of him. LOL ok maybe not a hundred maybe 1 or 2 more.
Don't forget to sign up for my giveaways below. I'll let them run til tonight. Then post the winners tomorrow.
