My 5 year old, Alex, loves video games of any kind. So when I received a email telling me about The Travels of Wiglington & Wenks at http://www.wiglingtonandwenks.com/ I jumped on the offer to review it. I created my son an account and was credited 3 months free play. Alex played for well over 2 hrs in that first sitting. He loved it and he actually asked to play it before his facebook games.
OUR MESSAGE TO PARENTS
Adapted from a popular children story book series by John Bittleston, we have created The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World as an enriching, immersive and safe online environment for kids to learn about the world through traveling to different factual and imaginative places, meeting famous people from the past, discovering mysteries and artifacts and making friends with children from different cultural backgrounds around the world.
You can create a free account for your child and let him/her start his/her learning journey to places around the world and beyond.
We have carefully designed every aspect of the virtual world-from the graphics to the game mechanics-to make sure that it will be as fun as it is educational. Facts about history and geography which kids usually find boring in a normal class setting are presented in creative ways, backed up with a compelling story plot, motivating kids to learn while having fun and to explore further.
As parents, you can expect your child to learn about history, geography, famed landmarks, famous historical people, inventions, nature and wildlife among many others. And for the children, they can expect hours and hours of discovery and explorative fun.
Your child can enjoy an even more enriching experience in our virtual world by becoming an Elite Quest Traveler which will allow him access to more locations, games and virtual items and participation in so much more activities.
We invite you to browse through our parenting section to see more details on the educational and exciting adventure in store for your child in our massive virtual world. Better yet, join your child in his/her quest to become a legendary traveler in The Travels of Wiglington and Wenks Virtual World!
